Mr. Arshad is a Chartered Arbitrator and an Advocate of the High Court of Pakistan. He  has  been  awarded  a  degree  in  law  from  the  University  of  London,  United Kingdom and has also studied at the University of Boston Law School, USA. Mr. Arshad has substantial experience in the legal profession and has formerly worked in various leading firms of Pakistan, before joining ARC as one of its partners. He is a member  of  the  visiting  faculty  at  the  Federal  Judicial  Academy,  Directorate  of Training and Research (Government of Pakistan – Federal Board of Revenue) and is involved with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in respect of training members of the Pakistan Foreign Service at the Foreign Services Academy Islamabad. In addition to this Mr. Arshad is also member of the examination panel Foreign Service Academy.

Mr. Arshad has significant expertise in arbitration, banking, real estate sector, telecommunication,  energy  and  environmental  sector.  He  has been  advising  and acting for various multinational consortiums and companies in this regard, including Zong. Mr. Arshad is also acting for the National Highway Authority, Government of Pakistan in respect of their various disputes. He is also leading the ADR and deal making negotiations team of the firm.

 

He is acting for DHAI Amaris International Medical Centre Limited in respect of their various issues involving advising its stakeholder companies i.e. Western Capital Developments USA LLC, Western Capital Developments Mauritius and DHA.

Mr. Arshad is acting for PTCL in respect of their various arbitrations, litigations and disputes including LDI operation. He has also advised and acted for Telemedia Pakistan (Private) Limited in respect of formulation of its technical agreements and technology licensing contracts.

 

Mr. Arshad is acting for various banks in respect of their various legal matters and recovery suits. Mr. Arshad is also involved in advising, negotiating and formulating international joint venture agreements and consortiums in respect of various engineering, energy and petroleum sector companies.
